Like her sister ship, NORWEGIAN AQUA, delivered by Fincantieri in 2025 and featuring a gross tonnage of 156,000, an overall length of 321 metres, and over 3,550 berths, NORWEGIAN LUNA is 10% larger than the first two Prima Class vessels, NORWEGIAN PRIMA and NORWEGIAN VIVA, which also showcase Fincantieri’s distinctive craftmanship.

The ship offers guests generous open spaces, refined design elements, and an array of unmatched experiences, including the Aqua Slidecoaster, the NCL-exclusive hybrid between a rollercoaster and waterslide; the Glow Court, an innovative high-tech digital sports complex featuring an interactive LED floor; the Luna Midway, an outdoor amusement-park-style area featuring carnival-inspired games, as well as the Moon Climber, a multi-level obstacle course created for the whole family. As her predecessors, NORWEGIAN LUNA features Ocean Boulevard, the most expansive 360-degree outdoor promenade ever built.    

The delivery of NORWEGIAN LUNA, which over the past few months has involved 3,000 people working tirelessly onboard, including Fincantieri employees and partner companies, comes just a few weeks after the announcement of a major agreement signed between Fincantieri and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. for the construction of three next-generation cruise ships. This agreement includes one vessel for Norwegian Cruise Line, in addition to the four ships already covered by the maxi-order announced in February 2025. The vessels in this new class of ships are scheduled to be delivered between 2030 and 2037.
