Fincantieri to build third ultra-luxury vessel for Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings
CruiseFincantieri has signed a contract with Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD, Joint Owner/Operator of Four Seasons Yachts, for the construction of a third ultra-luxury cruise vessel. The value of the agreement, subject to financing and other terms and conditions, was described as significant.
Delivery is scheduled for 2031. The vessel is the third unit in a class of ultra-luxury cruise ships designed and built by Fincantieri at its Ancona shipyard.
FOUR SEASONS I, the first vessel built to Fincantieri's Navis Sapiens design, was delivered earlier this year. A second unit is under construction and is due to enter service in early 2028.
The new vessel retains the residential-style "all-suite" concept of the first unit. She will measure 207 metres in length and approximately 34,000 GT, with suites featuring terraces and outdoor spaces.
Pierroberto Folgiero, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Fincantieri, said: "This new order represents a further significant step in the development of the partnership with Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD, which has become a benchmark for innovation in luxury hospitality at sea. The decision to expand the fleet with a third ship reflects the strength of a long-term industrial vision and confirms the market's appreciation for a concept that has successfully created a new segment combining luxury hospitality and advanced shipbuilding. Designed and built at our Ancona shipyard, the vessel further strengthens the site's role as Fincantieri's centre of excellence for the construction of ultra-luxury ships, where innovation, craftsmanship and industrial expertise come together to deliver the highest standards of quality and refinement."
