GOLDEN CARRIER chartered for Trinidad & Tobago ferry connection
FerryThe 22,874 GT RoPax GOLDEN CARRIER, with a capacity of 1,950 lanem and 399 passengers, has arrived in Trinidad to temporarily replace the 1,925 lanem and 280-passenger capacity 22,986 GT BLUE WAVE HARMONY. The RoPax vessel will sail between Port of Spain and Scarborough while the BLUE WAVE HARMONY is under repair.
The National Infrastructure Development Company (NIDCO) extended the charter of the BLUE WAVE HARMONY by an additional six months in May, despite the issues that have been reported with the vessel. The vessel substitution is apparently part of the charter party agreement and involves no extra costs for NIDCO.
The GOLDEN CARRIER recently completed a charter for GNV in the Mediterranean.
