
First steel cut and hull design revealed for NORWEGIAN BLISS
CruiseThe first steel cut for the 167.800 gross ton and 4000 passenger cruise ship NORWEGIAN BLISS was done at the MEYER WERFT laser center in Papenburg, Germany, on October the 28th. The ceremony marked the beginning of the construction, and expected delivery to Norwegian Cruise Line is in the spring of 2018, where she will serve as an Alaskan cruise ship.
"As we close in on Norwegian Cruise Line's 50th anniversary, we are thrilled to celebrate the start of construction for NORWEGIAN BLISS, our latest and most innovative ship yet," said Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. President and Chief Executive Officer Frank Del Rio. "Norwegian Bliss will offer the ultimate in Alaska adventures, both on and off the ship, and we look forward to welcoming guests onboard in June 2018."
The hull design has also been revealed showing a mural of a humpback whale and her calf, along with other sea animals common in the Alaskan area.
