FerryThe world’s first hydrogen-powered passenger/car ferry is to be built in the River Clyde in Scotland by Ferguson Marine Engineering Ltd (FMEL), with funding from the European Union. FMEL is part of a Pan-European consortium behind this project, which is jointly led by the Scottish shipbuilder and the University of St. Andrews. The project is costing EUR 12.6 million, with EUR 9.3 million coming from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation fund.
