Siem buys LAKE KIVU from Eastern Pacific Shipping
Ro-roSiem has acquired the 4,888 CEU LAKE KIVU from Eastern Pacific Shipping. The PCTC, built in 2006, was taken over at the end of March and now operates under the name SIEM NEWTON for Siem Car Carriers.
SIEM NEWTON is one of six sister ships in a series built by China’s Xiamen Shipbuilding and delivered between 2006 and 2010. The purchase follows the acquisition of the sister ship LAKE GENEVA a few months ago from the same owner. LAKE GENEVA is now renamed SIEM DARWIN.
