RFI launches a EUR 53.5 million tender for a new railway ferry

FerryRete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) – the Italian railways subsidiary that operates a cross-Messina Strait train ferry service under the Bluferries banner – has launched a public tender for the construction of a new ro-pax suited to transport railway wagons, passengers, cars and heavy vehicles as well as dangerous goods – both packaged and in bulk (tanks/tank trailers).
