P&O Ferries makes 800 British crewmembers redundant to keep the business viable

FerryYesterday P&O Ferries, owned by Dubai-based DP World, with immediate effect made all its 800 British crew redundant that are manning their ferries operating from the UK to France, Holland and Northern Ireland. The British officers and ratings are being replaced by agency crew, all of which are foreign seafarers.
