
NEPTUNE PIREAS, first in class
Neptune Lines placed further two orders at Fujian Mawei
Ro-roNeptune Lines has signed a newbuilding contract with Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding for further two 4,200 CEU dual-fuel PCTCs, scheduled for delivery in 2029. The DNV-classed vessels will have an overall length of 177.8 metres.
The main propulsion will be based on a two-stroke dual-fuel LNG engine, shaft generators, and a battery pack for peak shaving. The new vessels will be capable to utilize shore power when in port. Greek-based Neptune Lines has already three newbuilding in the series, referred to as the “Genesis Project”, at order at the shipyard for delivery from Q4 2026 to Q2 2027. The first in the series, NEPTUNE PIREAS, was delivered in May.
