Mumbai Will Get The World’s Largest Fleet of Electric Foiling Vessels
High-speedCandela announced the sale of 11 P-12 electric ferries to JalVimana Shuttles in Mumbai — the largest electric fleet deal to date.
The P-12 vessels will operate on two of Mumbai’s busiest routes: Gateway of India to Alibaug, and Gateway of India to Elephanta Island. These routes were awarded to Candela earlier this year and will now serve as the starting point for the world’s first foiling electric mass transit system.
With the strong backing of Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Ports Minister Nitesh Rane, Mumbai is reimagining commuting — turning congested roads into fast, clean corridors over water.
