Algeciras–Ceuta line and VILLA DE AGAETE to be sold and operated under the Ceuta Link brand

High-speedCaflaja, which operates Armas Trasmediterránea's remaining Algeciras–Ceuta business, said that it has signed a binding agreement to sell the route together with the fast ferry VILLA DE AGAETE. The buyer has not been named, however Spanish newspaper El Conciso reports that Trasmapi, part of the Sercomisa group, is the likely buyer.

DFDS, which originally agreed to take over the Ceuta business, withdrew because of the conditions set by the Spanish competition authority CNMC.

From 30 October the service will run under the Ceuta Link brand, when VILLA DE AGAETE returns from a technical stop at Gibdock in Gibraltar. The ship is managed by Ceuta Link Co, set up in November 2025. The sale is still subject to administrative procedures.
