More TEUs and new cars but less passengers for Port of Gothenburg

PortDuring the first half of 2018 (January-June), the container throughput (expressed in TEU) in the Port of Gothenburg increased by 19%, while the number of new cars and intra-European ro-ro units rose by 10% and 4%, respectively. In terms of tonnage, there a is a slight decrease to 20.6 million tonnes. Passenger numbers fell from 729,000 to 679,000, with cruise ship calls going from 21 to 17.
