More complementary RoRo services for mixed cargo within CLdN

Ro-roCLdN has announced an agreement with Samskip to purchase its quay-to-quay and door-to-door freight business between the Continent and UK & Ireland. The acquisition covers the container shipping services currently operated by Samskip between Rotterdam, Belfast, Blyth, Grangemouth, Hull and Tilbury and Cork, Dublin and Waterford.

The transaction further enhances CLdN shortsea container shipping offering between mainland Europe, the UK and Ireland. It is aligned with CLdN’s strategy of providing complementary RoRo services for mixed cargo and LoLo services specifically for containers.

The transaction would also significantly enhance the scale of CLdN’s door-to-door multimodal activities with the integration of a broader fleet with wider network reach, particularly between the UK & Ireland and Central and Eastern Europe.
