Kristian Durhuus new CEO at Molslinjen
FerryThe deal where Molslinjen buys ForSea, was recently completed. It has now been announced that the current CEO at ForSea, Kristian Durhuus, will become the new CEO at Molslinjen.
Molslinjen and ForSea are now being merged into one shipping company. It happens in parallel with Molslinjen's former CEO, Carsten Jensen, leaving the post and becoming the new CEO of Nordic Ferry Infrastructure (NFI) in Oslo.
NFI is a holding company, which owns both Molslinjen and the Norwegian transport company, Torghatten.
The new CEO at Molslinjen will be the current CEO at ForSea, Kristian Durhuus.
"ForSea and Molslinjen will now be integrated into a cohesive shipping company, well equipped for the current and future green transition, which will be decisive for shipping in the coming years," says Kristian Durhuus.
After six years in the post, Carsten Jensen is therefore leaving the job as CEO at Molslinjen. From his new role at Oslo-based NFI, he looks forward to contributing to the continued development when the two shipping companies become one.
"I am happy that Kristian Durhuus has accepted the assignment. With him at the helm, Molslinjen gets an experienced CEO who has made ForSea an efficient and well-managed shipping company."
In practical terms, Kristian Durhuus will start at Molslinjen 15 March 2023, and until then Carsten Jensen will continue to be responsible for Molslinjen.
