IOMSPCo’s new ro-pax ferry MANXMAN’s delivery delayed due to gearbox problems

FerryThe imminent delivery of Isle of Man Steam Packet Company’s new GBP 78 million ro-pax ferry MANXMAN from South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard has been delayed after problems with the vessels gearbox were discovered on final sea trials. The exact nature of the problem is not known, nor is the expected delay period.
