Caronte & Tourist returns to Sefine for a Messina Strait double-ender
FerryCaronte & Tourist have placed an order at Sefine Shipyard for a near sister ship to the 2018-delivered ELIO. Just as ELIO, the newbuild is designed by LMG Marin and will become 134m long and have a capacity for 1,500 passengers and 290 cars once delivered in the summer of 2024.
The double-ender, intended for the Messina Strait between Messina and Villa San Giovanni, will feature dual-fuel capabilities together with a large battery pack.
