CalMac’s new Islay ferries to be built by Cemre Shipyard

FerryScotland’s Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) has named Turkey’s Cemre Shipyard in Yalova as the preferred bidder for the GBP 105 million contract to build two new diesel/battery hybrid ropax ferries for operation by Scotland’s largest ferry company, Caledonian MacBrayne’s (CalMac) services to Islay and Jura.
