CEO Ettore Morace described 2025 as a year of consolidation, citing improvements across all economic and activity indicators despite a continuing mismatch between supply and demand in the sector.

The operator carried more than 700,000 passengers in 2025 and moved 339,394 freight units, up 2.25 per cent on 2024, despite withdrawing one vessel from service. The reduced sailing frequency also cut emissions, adding 6,200 tonnes of CO2 savings to the 16,600 tonnes reduced in 2024.

CIUDAD DE PALMA has consumed more than 722 MWh of renewable energy since connecting to onshore power supply (OPS) at the Port of Barcelona in March 2025, eliminating emissions while berthed.

At group level, Grimaldi is investing more than EUR 1.3 billion in nine new RoPax ferries for delivery between 2028 and 2030. The methanol dual-fuel vessels, fitted with OPS and low-friction silicone hull coatings, are designed to cut CO2 emissions per transported unit by more than 50 per cent. During 2025 the group also took delivery of six ammonia-ready PCTCs — GRANDE TIANJIN, GRANDE SHANGHAI, GRANDE SVEZIA, GRANDE AUCKLAND, GRANDE MELBOURNE and GRANDE ISTANBUL.
