- Q3 revenue up 5.8% to EUR 246.7 million (EUR 233.1 million)

- Nine-month net profit of EUR 19.4 million, up from EUR 5.1 million, despite EUR 18.9 million higher fuel costs and EUR 12.6 million dividend-related income tax
- Q3 fuel costs up more than EUR nine million and emission allowance costs up more than EUR two million year on year
“The third quarter is the most important period of the year for us, and this summer confirmed that the demand for our services remains strong,” said Peep Jalakas, Chairman of the Management Board. “The increase in the number of passengers and the nearly 8% increase in cargo volumes show that Tallink’s connections are still important for the movement of people as well as for the functioning of the region’s economy.”
For the first nine months of the year, group revenue climbed 4.5% to EUR 603 million, against EUR 577.3 million in the same period of 2025. EBITDA reached slightly over EUR 104 million, compared with EUR 102.5 million a year earlier. Net profit for the period came to EUR 19.4 million, a marked improvement on the EUR 5.1 million reported for the first nine months of 2025, when results were held back by vessel lay-ups and maintenance. This year’s result was nonetheless weighed down by EUR 18.9 million in higher fuel costs and EUR 12.6 million in income tax related to dividend payments.
In the third quarter alone, fuel costs rose by more than EUR nine million and the cost of surrendering emission allowances by more than EUR two million compared with Q3 2025. Jalakas pointed to the uncertainty of energy markets, high fuel prices and the full implementation of EU environmental regulations as key external pressures, stressing the importance of efficient fleet use, cost management and service quality.
Finland–Sweden freight up more than 20%
The group carried nearly 65,000 cargo units during the quarter, an increase of 7.8% year on year. Growth was strongest on the Estonia–Finland and Finland–Sweden routes, with the latter rising by more than 20%. Passenger numbers increased by 5.3% on the Finland–Sweden routes, reversing a 1.4% decline in the same quarter last year, and by 5.8% on the Estonia–Sweden route.
ROMANTIKA deployed in the Mediterranean
The fleet was deployed flexibly to meet seasonal demand and pursue international opportunities. The cruise ferry ROMANTIKA operated additional summer peak departures between Tallinn and Stockholm before providing accommodation and catering services in Italy during the Mediterranean Games. Tallink also continued its strategy of securing long-term charter agreements for its vessels.
“ROMANTIKA is a good example of how we can make the most of seasonal demand in our home markets while also creating opportunities to provide services internationally,” said Jalakas. “Long-term charter agreements help secure stable cash flow and allow us to adjust our operations to market demand.”
