The first of two 6,500 CEU PCTCs for Wallenius Marine has been delivered
Ro-roFUTURE WAY, the first of two Knud E. Hansen-designed dual fuel LNG PCTCs for Wallenius Marine, has been delivered from the CIMC Raffles shipyard in China. The 6,500 CEU capacity PCTC will be long-term chartered to the VW Group and will be followed by the sister ship WAY FORWARD in a few months.
The 199.95m long by 37.0m beam vessels are powered by a MAN B&W dual fuel main engine with a 12,820-kW output and feature an aerodynamically optimized bow that reduces wind resistance. The vessels also have a centre ramp arrangement for efficient cargo handling and E/R height.
In the upcoming May issue of Shippax INFO, we will have an in-depth report on this vessel.
