New ferry to be built for CalMac’s Kennacraig-Islay service

FerryA day after Scottish ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne (CalMac) warned passengers of potential major disruption to its services this summer due to its ageing fleet, more positive news arrived from Scotland’s Ministry for Transport and Islands, Humza Yousaf, who announced that a new ferry is to be built for CalMac’s Kennacraig-Islay service, to replace the 1985-built HEBRIDEAN ISLES.
