MANXMAN has proved its value in its first two years of operation

FinanceA total of 630,279 passengers travelled with the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company’s ferries in 2024. This is the highest figure since 2007 and 1.2% more than in 2023. Revenue from passenger tickets increased by 6.8%, while passengers also spent more onboard.

Onboard revenue rose by 12% in 2024 compared to the previous year. Freight revenue increased by 19%. According to the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, the strong growth was primarily driven by the newbuild MANXMAN, which was introduced in 2023. However, increased costs meant that profits fell by 9.9% to GBP 7.2 million.

Last year (2025) the passenger numbers raise even more with an increase of further 8.2% to 682,097. The number of vehicles increased by further 4.2% to 203,319, compared to the first whole year with MANXMAN in operation.
