Long-awaited freight ro-ro service starts between El Salvador and Costa Rica

Ro-roA long-awaited freight ro-ro service between the Central American countries of El Salvador and Costa Rica, talked about for the past seven years, became a reality on 10 August when the 1,925 lanemetre capacity ro-ro BLUE WAVE HARMONY sailed from the Pacific coast El Salvador port of La Unión to Caldera in Costa Rica, a distance of 360 nautical miles.
