First steel cut for lead vessel in SunStone Ships Chinese expedition newbuildings – to be named GREG MORTIMER

CruiseFirst steel was cut in China on 16 March for the lead ship in Miami-based SunStone Ships series of polar class expedition cruise ships building at China Merchants heavy Industry (Jiangsu) Co Ltd.’s shipyard in Haimen, near Shanghai. The vessel will be named GREG MORTIMER and chartered to Australia’s Aurora expeditions when delivered in August 2019 for the company’s 2019-2020 Antarctic cruise programme.
