DELPHINE resumes operations post-fire, CLdN schedules prompt repairs
Ro-roCLdN has announced that the DELPHINE successfully completed its first voyage since the fire incident on 16 April, operating an overnight trip from Zeebrugge to Killingholme. The vessel was authorised to sail at a reduced capacity of 6,000 lane metres, down from its full 8,000 lane metres.
CLdN is organising its fleet to accommodate repair work, aiming to restore the DELPHINE to full capacity with minimal impact on customers.
Although the official investigation into the fire’s cause is ongoing, CLdN has identified a car unit loaded onto the ship as the source. Current evidence suggests that a fully electric (BEV) vehicle was not the cause.
