Aldo Grimaldi, the doyen of Italian shipowners, has passed away at 96 years

ProfileA nephew of Achille Lauro, Aldo Grimaldi was born near Naples in 1922. Having qualified as a captain, he then graduated in Economics and Maritime Sciences at the University of Naples, having gained his first experience at sea on board his uncle’s ships during holiday periods.
