Veteran AF FRANCESCA sent to breakers
FerryAdria Ferries has sold its veteran RoPax ferry AF FRANCESCA for recycling at the shipbreaking yard in Aliaga, Turkey. The 1979-built ship, originally launched as DOMIZIANA for Tirrenia di Navigazione, departed Durres, Albania, on 28 February 2026, on its final voyage.
AF FRANCESCA, acquired by Adria in 2011, had operated primarily on the Bari–Durres route until laid up post-2025 summer season. It could carry up to 2,000 passengers and more than 600 cars.
