DFDS' Baltic anchor leaves the company
FerryVice President Anders Refsgaard has decided to leave DFDS after 23 years with the company. For most of his time at DFDS, he played a central role in its Baltic business and RoPax routes across the Baltic Sea. DFDS established its presence in the Baltic Sea in 2001 with the acquisition of Lithuanian state-owned shipping company Lisco.

“It has not been an easy decision as DFDS has been far more than a workplace for me. It has been a big part of my life, and I am deeply grateful for the trust, the opportunities and the many great colleagues, customers, and partners I have worked with along the way,” Refsgaard wrote in a LinkedIn post announcing his departure.
In 2023, Refsgaard moved from his position as head of the Baltic business unit to a senior business development role, helping build DFDS’ new global commercial organisation.
Refsgaard said in the post that the decision to leave was his own and that he would remain with DFDS until the end of March 2027 to ensure a smooth handover.
