Tersan Builds 60-car Capacity Ferry For Fjord1
FerryAt Tersan Shipyard in Turkey, a new battery-hybrid ferry is being built for Norwegian operator Fjord1, based on the LMG 60-DEH V design by LMG Marin. The 60-car, double-ended ferry, developed in collaboration with Fjord1, will serve the Rysjedalsvika–Rutledal–Krakhella–Losna route for Skyss.
Equipped with a 6,000 kWh battery package, the vessel can charge at up to 8,800 kW from the shore grid. This project marks the 10th vessel LMG Marin has designed for Fjord1 since 2005.
