Tallink fleet re-shuffle in December
FerryAs of December 12, SILJA EUROPA which is currently being intensively refurbished, will again be put in service in 22h cruises between Helsinki and Tallinn, replacing BALTIC QUEEN, which will re-locate to the Stockholm-Tallinn route as from December 13.
This will in turn vacate the ROMANTIKA, which will go back to the Stockholm-Riga route which she has been operating already from 2009 until 2014. She will also again be registered under Latvian flag.
Both SILJA EUROPA and BALTIC QUEEN continue under the Estonian flag.
SILJA EUROPA had already operated the 22-h-cruises between January 2013 and August 2014, before relocating to Australia for use as an accommodation vessel for the Gorgon LNG Project at Barrow Island in the Northwest of Australia. When returning from Australia she started to operate day cruises from Helsinki to Tallinn, and did six cruises from Helsinki to Visby on Gotland during summer.
The BALTIC QUEEN had moved to replace SILJA EUROPA in the 22hcruises from Helsinki to Tallinn in August 2014 and is now returning to the route she was initially built for.
