STENA NORDICA on Baltic relief duties
Ferry STENA NORDICA, just released from a GNV charter in the Mediterranean, is assigned to short-term relief duties in Stena Line’s Baltic ferry network.
The 2000-built ship has left Rotterdam on November 21 for Travemünde where she will sail on the Travemünde – Liepaja route along the STENA GOTHICA (ex ASK) for a week. STENA NORDICA will take over sailings from the URD between November 25 and December 3 which currently is at the Remontowa shipyard in Gdansk for overhaul.
Between December 6 and 21, STENA NORDICA will replace the SCOTTISH VIKING on the Nynäshamn – Ventspils route.
STENA NORDICA was originally built for P&O Ferries as the EUROPEAN AMBASSADOR, but sold to Stena RoRo in 2004. She has a capacity for 405 passengers and 375 cars or 1,950 lane meters.
