Molslinjen’s new CEO elected to the board of Danish Ferry Association

FerryAt the annual general meeting of Danish Ferry Association, Chairman Carsten Jensen welcomed Rolf Nielsen as a new member of the board:

“I am very pleased that Rolf Nielsen, who has just been appointed as Molslinjen’s new CEO, has agreed to join the board. Rolf brings extensive experience from both the port and shipping industries. I very much look forward to working with him,” said Carsten Jensen, Chairman of Danish Ferry Association and CEO of NFI (Nordic Ferry Infrastructure), which owns both Molslinjen and Norway’s Torghatten.

Danish Ferry Association (Færgerederierne, the trade association representing Danish ferry operators), comprises Molslinjen, Scandlines, Øresundslinjen and Småøernes Færgeselskab, the sub-association of local Danish ferry operators.

Denmark’s ferry industry is performing well, with passenger numbers on the rise. In 2025, more than 30 million passengers travelled by ferry either between two Danish ports or between a Danish and a foreign port. Major investments are also being made in new, more climate-friendly and comfortable ferries.

In addition to Chairman Carsten Jensen, the board of Danish Ferry Association now comprises Deputy Chairman Eric Grégoire, CEO of Scandlines Danmark, and as mentioned, Molslinjen’s incoming CEO, Rolf Nielsen.
