
MÉDITERRANÉE sets sail after extensive refit at CMR Tunisia Ship Repairs
FerryAfter an intensive 168-day overhaul, Corsica Linea’s ro-pax MÉDITERRANÉE has departed CMR Tunisia Ship Repairs, marking the completion of a significant refurbishment project. The refit involved 12 technical openings and extensive work on the ship’s infrastructure.
Key upgrades include four new Wärtsilä engines, two Alfa Laval boilers, a new shaft generator, and a new chiller. The installation of cold-ironing and new piping ensures compliance with ECA-zone environmental standards. Additionally, the MÉDITERRANÉE underwent a shaft overhaul, kilometres of new pipes and cables, and a comprehensive paint refresh.
