
La Méridionale recruits new CEO from DFDS
FerryThe ferry operator La Méridionale, owned by the French container shipping giant CMA CGM, will have a new CEO starting from the turn of the year. The position will be taken by Étienne Melliani, a French national who is currently Managing Director of DFDS France, a role he assumed in August 2024.
Previously, Étienne Melliani held various positions, including a career in the French Ministry of Transport. He will succeed Maria Harti as CEO of La Méridionale. She has led the company since February 2024, when she replaced Jean-Emmanuel Sauvée.
La Méridionale operates four RoPax ferries from Marseille to Corsica and North Africa. The company also has two newbuildings on order from CMI Jinling Weihai, scheduled for delivery in 2027.
