Tallink Silja Line to run twice as many special cruises to Visby next year
FerryIn the summer of 2027, Tallink Silja Line will run 16 special cruises to Visby, the capital of Gotland – twice as many as this year. In addition, there will be three special cruises from Helsinki to Riga. To cater for customers who wish to plan their Christmas presents and next summer’s holidays well in advance.
“Special summer cruises are a wonderful opportunity to give loved ones the gift of time spent together and experiences to look back on later. Opening ticket sales as early as October gives people the chance to finalize their summer travel plans well in advance – and why not even start thinking about a Christmas present now?” said Marina Jõgi, Sales Director at Tallink Grupp. “Summer cruises or other cruise experiences can be conveniently gifted via Tallink gift cards.”
Visby offers the joy of discovery for both history enthusiasts and families. Options include guided tours of the medieval old town, exploring Gotland’s nature and local flavors, a day ticket including a transfer to the Kneippbyn water and amusement park, and more. From 8 to 15 August 2027, Visby will also host its Medieval Days, which can be visited as part of the two last special cruises.
In Riga, you can spend the day exploring the city or, for example, visit the zoo with your family. At both destinations, you can make use of convenient transfers and choose an excursion that suits you. You can also bring your own bikes on the cruise or hire one at your destination to get around.
There’s plenty to do for the whole family on board too. In addition to the usual entertainment, there’ll be a special show program on two evenings, dance music and karaoke. A large summer activity center offers activities for children of all ages. Naturally, a holiday also includes good food and drink, which everyone can choose according to their own taste from the ship’s diverse range of restaurants.
Dates for the 2027 summer special cruises:
Helsinki-Visby (via Tallinn)
12 and 30 June, 2, 7, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 28 and 30 July, 1, 6, 8 and 13 August.
Helsinki–Riga
18 June, 4 and 14 July
Each special cruise includes two nights on board and one full day at a destination not served by Tallink’s regular routes. All special cruises are operated by VICTORIA I, which normally sails on the Helsinki–Tallinn route. The ship, VICTORIA I, was built in 2004 in Rauma, Finland, and can accommodate 2,500 passengers.
