KiwiRail issues RFP for two 50,000gt hybrid rail ferries

FerryFollowing on from the award of NZD 400 million in the New Zealand government’s 2020 budget, KiwiRail has taken the next step forward in its major fleet renewal programme by issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for two 50,000gt hybrid rail ferries for its Interislander service between Picton and Wellington.
