Italy to show a loss in passengers 2017
FerryCemar Agency Network reported its usual forecast. Next year Italy will undergo a significant loss in passengers (-10% from 10,979,000 to 9,860,000) and ship calls (-14% from 4,918 in 2016 to 4,186).
Even cruise ships calling at Italian ports will drop: 129 (43 cruise companies) versus 146 in 2016.
Top Italian ports will be:
- Civitavecchia, 2,185,000 passengers (-5% versus 2016)
- Venice, 1,398,000 passengers (-12%)
- Genoa and Savona, both 940,000 passengers (-4%)
- Naples (830,000 passengers, -29%)
- Leghorn (630,000 passengers -13%)
- La Spezia (475,000)
- Cagliari (+51%).
