FosenNamsos Sjø gives Myklebust its first ferry orders for 23 years
FerryNorwegian Myklebust yard has just received its first ferry orders since 1993. Two biodiesel hybrid ferries will be built for FosenNamsos Sjø, who will set them in service between Flakk – Rørvik when completed at the end of 2018.
The ferries are designed and developed by the wholly-owned Fiskerstrand company Multi Maritime, and they will become 106 meters long and have a capacity of 130 cars. According to them the ferries will feature energy saving technologies that will save up to 30% energy compared to traditional diesel ferries of the same size
No contract value has yet been revealed.
