Fjord1 awards Tersan Shipyard with a two-ferry order
FerryFjord1 has signed a contract with Tersan Shipyard of Turkey to build two 84m long and 16.3m double-ended ferries, each with a capacity of 248 persons, 80 cars and six trucks.
Slated for delivery in Q2 2023, the sister ships are designed by Norwegian-based HAV Design. The battery-powered vessels, charged when alongside, will boast a diesel-electric back-up system when they service the Stranda-Liabygda and Eidsdal-Linge routes, so they can operate in full-electric, hybrid and diesel-electric mode.
