Finnlines new mascot will make the trip across the Baltic Sea more fun for families with children
FerryThis summer, Finnlines passengers on the route between Sweden and Finland will be joined by the new mascot Stella. The playful ship's dog is part of the shipping company's effort to make the journey even more fun for families with children.
Stella is Finnlines' first own mascot and will be on the Kapellskär–Långnäs–Nådendal route to welcome passengers, entertain children and contribute to a more memorable journey across the Baltic Sea.
– The idea of having our own mascot emerged from requests from families with children who traveled with us. We want to make the trip even more fun for our youngest passengers and create a character that the children remember and who brings extra joy during the crossing. Stella is a warm and friendly companion who can also create security when a new environment or a trip at sea feels a little fidgety, says Kristiina Uppala, Head of Customer Service within Finnlines' passenger operations.
Stella is a happy and curious ship's dog who loves the sea, adventure and meeting new friends. She is recognizable by her Finnlines cap, her compass collar and the star next to her left eye. The compass symbolizes adventure and helps the youngest passengers find their way to the play areas, ball pit, games room and summer activities on board.
Meet Stella on board this summer
During the summer, Stella will be on board Finnlines ships between Sweden and Finland. On FINNCANOPUS, she will be on board daily and move around on deck 11, where she greets passengers and spreads extra joy among the youngest. Stella will also appear on board FINNSIRIUS this summer.
