CLdN will be present in Warrenpoint for the next 55 years
PortA new long-term contract between CLdN and Warrenpoint Port secures freight operations at Warrenpoint for the next 55 years. Under the new agreement, CLdN will continue operating its high frequency RoRo freight service between Warrenpoint and Heysham, moving approximately 125,000 freight units and trade cars each year.
According to CLdN, the new commitment represents a significant investment in the company’s future operations at the port and reinforces the strategic importance of the Irish Sea corridor, with 95% of consumer goods to the island of Ireland arriving by sea.
CLdN continues thereby to strengthen its presence on the Irish Sea, following the 2022 acquisition of Seatruck Ferries Ltd. It currently employs 50 staff here in Warrenpoint.
