Stena Line’s Port of Gothenburg terminal relocation one step closer
PortThe Port of Gothenburg has awarded NCC the contract for the design and implementation of Stena Line’s new terminal in the Port of Gothenburg.
The agreement was signed on 6 October and means that the next step can be taken in the work to realise the long-planned relocation and consolidation of Stena Line’s terminal operations in the port.
Stena Line’s planned move from central Gothenburg to the central port operation area Arendal is part of the port’s long-term development. By bringing together Stena Line’s Germany and Denmark services in the outer port area, adjacent to other port operations and existing logistics infrastructure, Stena Line will have better conditions for growing and developing its operations.
At the same time, the land where the current terminals are located can be released for urban development.
The new terminal is expected to be taken into operation in 2031. The agreement signed by the Port of Gothenburg and NCC is an important step towards that goal.
