Africa Morroco Link acquired former Danish ferry
FerryGreek sources tell us that the ro-pax ferry PRINCE arrived in Piraeus, afer being sold to a company within the Attica group.
The purchase of Scandlines' 1980-built former Danish train ferry PRINS JOACHIM to a company controlled by European Seaways had been finalised in March. Renamed PRINCE, she has been operating between Albania, Greece and Italy.
The rumour was already out for some weeks, and it is still not officially unconfirmed, but Africa Morroco Link (AML) wanted this vessel for the crossing between Algeciras and Tanger Med.
She has now apparently been sold for € 7,5 million.
Scandlines is soon going to introduce the second newbuilt on the Rostock - Gedser link --the COPENHAGEN.
