Trinidad and Tobago procures reservation system from Carus
The Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago has engaged Carus for their new reservations system for the ferry operation between the islands of Trinidad and Tobago.
A tender was issued by the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago for a new system to replace the legacy system in use right now. The intent was not just to replace the existing system, but also to enhance the services and ensure a secure and future-proof application to meet the existing demands of the service.
The ferry route operated by the Port Authority connects Port of Spain in Trinidad to Scarborough in Tobago, offering a convenient and efficient mode of transportation.
Carus will provide the reservations and ticketing platform, along with a set of self-service applications for travelers in Trinidad and Tobago, including web booking and ticket vending kiosks.
“Carus is excited to work with the Port Authority on this project and to deploy our solution in the beautiful Caribbean,” says John Bertell, Director of Sales at Carus.
