Total travel to and from Gotland increased in 2025
FerryIn total, 1,758,481 passengers travelled with Destination Gotland during 2025, representing an increase of 1.6% compared with 2024. During the year, 1,335,045 visitors travelled to and from the island, an increase of 0.8% compared with 2024. The growth was primarily seen on the Nynäshamn route, while traffic on the Oskarshamn route remained at a stable level.
Travel from abroad also continued to increase during the year. The number of foreign travellers rose by 4.6% compared with 2024, and the share of foreign travellers reached 6.3% - the highest level recorded. At the same time, travel by Gotlanders also increased. In 2025, 423,436 Gotlanders travelled to and from the island, an increase of 4.4% compared with the previous year. This means that travel by Gotlanders has now returned to pre-pandemic levels.
