FerryWakkanai-based Heart Land Ferry's new RoPax, TOLORIUS SOYA, was launched at Naikai Zosen's yard in Onomichi, Hiroshima prefecture, Japan, on 16 July 2026.
TOLORIUS SOYA measures approximately 96.55 metres in length, 15.00 metres in breadth and 10.05 metres in depth, with a draught of 4.10 metres and a tonnage of 2,000 GT or more (Japanese Domestic Gross Tonnage). According to Naikai Zosen, the vessel features a bulbous bow fitted with ice knives to counter drift ice in winter. She is also equipped with a lift connecting the car deck to the passenger deck, improving accessibility for elderly passengers and those with reduced mobility.
