The electric ferry NERTHUS for Alslinjen launched
FerryAlslinjen's new electric ferry NERTHUS has been launched at the Cemre Shipyard. NERTHUS will be delivered in August this year and will be followed by a sister ship at the end of the year.
The OSK Design-designed all-electric ferry will be 116.8 metres long, have a capacity for 600 passengers and 188 cars and will serve the Fynshav – Bøjden route in Denmark.
It will be prepared for autonomous sailing between ports – with automatic docking and charging at the quay and will have Echandia batteries with a 3.1 MWh capacity which can be fully charged in 20-25 minutes.
Cemre will also build a sister ship, TYRFING, destined for Samsølinjen with a slightly larger battery capacity at 3.8 MWh for the longer Ballen - Kalundborg route.
