Tersan Havyard signs a contract with Fjord1
FerryFjord1 has contracted Tersan Havyard to convert three ferries to hybrid electric operation. The project includes the two 2016-built sisters LOSNA and HORNELEN, and the 2001-built NORDFJORD, which will be upgraded to meet new requirements for upcoming connections.
The conversion involves the installation of hybrid electric solutions that are in line with the requirements of Fjord 1's client, Vestland County Council/Skyss.
These requirements are part of a larger transition to more environmentally friendly technology and strengthen the yard's position within green transition and sustainable maritime solutions.
The collaboration between Fjord1 and Tersan Havyard spans many years and includes 13 newbuildings, in addition to several service assignments and conversions.
