Tallink Silja makes 450 Swedish staff redundant

FerryDuring the month of April, Tallink Silja saw its passenger carryings plummet by 96% compared to the same period last year. The COVID-19 crisis saw the Stockholm-Mariehamn-Helsinki overnight service come to a complete standstill on 19 March. The Stockholm-Åland-Turku route continued, carrying freight, truck drivers and passengers making essential travel.
