Supportive strike action affects Finnish-flagged ferries and the Finnish economy

FerrySupportive strike action of the Finnish Seamen’s Union and other unions are causing cancellations in ferry traffic, air traffic and public transport in Finland which could, should agreements not fall in place soon, have a severe impact on the country’s supply situation. The seamen’s unions strike affects all vessels under Finnish flag, in particular the passenger ferries.
